
In 2008 the Auckland Shopfront team ran a highly successful bulk recruitment project for DFS Galleria - a world leading luxury retailer which caters to the travelling public. The aim of this project was to place 10 full time sales assistants at DFS Galleria’s Auckland International Airport airside store.
The process began with the advertising for and screening of candidates. From here a large pool of candidates were invited to attend assessment centres run at Retailworld’s Auckland premises. These assessment centres not only proved to be a highly effective medium for getting candidates excited about the DFS brand but through the use of group activities and role plays enabled our account managers to observe how candidates interacted with others as well as their leadership ability, presentation and sales skills.

Following the assessment centres 12 candidates were shortlisted and invited back for a one on one interview with a Retailworld account manager; successful interviewees were then passed onto the DFS assessment centre. This entire process was conducted in just one week.
