Suprising retail results in the aftermath of the Christchurch Earthquake
You’d think that retail sales would drop after the huge Earthquake that hit Christchurch a couple of weeks ago. However, it seems that retail stores that have been able to open, aren’t suffering too badly!
It’s obvious that stores selling hardware would have booming business as people start to repair and replace their damaged possessions, but suprisingly other retailers are seeing an increase in sales too.
It seems people just want to feel normal again, and want to treat themselves to something nice after their terrifying ordeal. It’s great news for Christchurch - whose retail future is looking very bright!!
