We recently stumbled across this fabulous book by Michael Watkins after a candidate recommended it. The book, which is listed as one of the Top 100 business books of all time, provides a guide for leaders making a transition from one role into a new one.
Transitions are one of the most difficult career points for many leaders and because they are risky and prone to failure they need to be carefully managed. Watkins states during transitions small differences in your actions can have disproportionate impacts on results. So the quicker you can figure out how to take charge and build momentum the better - this book will show you how.
