100 Million reasons to join
LinkedIn has been described as the ‘Facebook for Professionals’ and just like Facebook, it’s really taken off, reaching the 100 million members milestone.
LinkedIn is about reconnecting with past and present colleagues, powering your career and a place to discuss topics and get answers. It’s a simple format that has really picked up pace in the market – for people from all walks of life from across the globe, it’s a must have. LinkedIn CEO, Jeff Weiner has described their ultimate goal as a place to “connect all of the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful.”
Fast Facts about LinkedIn:
I joined because I saw it as a thinking persons version of Face book.
I have been approached by recruitment companies in Dubai and other international locations - so people clearly search for staff using this medium to connect world wide.
Clearly you don’t need to have too much information up there - people find you and approach you.
I really don’t use it much at all, and don’t go searching for people.
The people using it seem to me to be using it thoughtfully and professionally.
It works!
