
Thousands of job seekers lined the street in Manukau yesterday hoping to secure 1 of only 160 jobs available at the soon to open Countdown Supermarket
The first new Progressive Enterprises supermarket to open in five years has attracted a swarm of job applicants lining up for up to 7 hours outside their South Auckland offices in hopes of securing 1 of the 160 new jobs created by the stores opening.
Unfortunately this news story is illustrative of the job tight market we are currently experiencing with employers and recruitment agencies being flooded with applications to vacancies they are advertising.
